Gabriela Mistral es una de las mujeres más influyentes de la región de Coquimbo, por lo que no podía faltar una experiencia para poder conocer la vida y obra de esta gran poetisa. Saldremos de La Serena en dirección hacia el Valle del Elqui. Pararemos en Montegrande donde podremos conocer la Casa Escuela de Gabriela Mistral donde estudió y creció en su infancia, continuaremos hacia el Mausoleo donde descansan sus restos. Después nos trasladaremos hacia Villaseca para almorzar en un restaurant con cocina solar, ahí podremos conocer como funciona este tipo de cocinas ecológicas y sustentables y almorzar los productos locales preparados por estas novedosas cocinas. Al terminar el almuerzo, nos trasladaremos  nuestro último destino en el recorrido en Vicuña, conoceremos el Museo de Gabriela Mistral de Vicuña donde hasta el día de hoy permanecen sus escritos y parte de sus pertenencias entre otros. Una vez finalizada la visita, retornaremos a La Serena.

Gabriela Mistral is one of the most influential women in the Coquimbo region, so it was essential to include an experience to learn about the life and work of this great poetess. We will depart from La Serena towards the Elqui Valley. We will stop in Montegrande, where we can visit Gabriela Mistral’s Schoolhouse, where she studied and grew up during her childhood. Then, we will continue to the Mausoleum where her remains rest. Afterward, we will move on to Villaseca to have lunch at a restaurant with solar cuisine. There, we can learn how this type of ecological and sustainable cooking works, and enjoy lunch prepared with local products using these innovative kitchens. After lunch, we will head to our last destination on the tour, Vicuña, where we will visit the Gabriela Mistral Museum. Where her writings and some of her belongings, among other items, are still preserved to this day. Once the visit is complete, we will return to La Serena.
